Argeles sur Mer is the main tourist seaside resort on the Catalan Coast. Facing Pyrenees, with its 7 km kilometres of fine sand streching between pine tree alley where you will wander to do some shopping to simply stroll along or pause for a gastronomic experience.
The area offers a great variety of superb scenery, from the coastline to the Pyrenees (2971 m). Vineyards, gastronomy, Roman remains and nearby Spain... So many possibilities fo great excursions.
In the sunniest region of France, Argeles-sur-mer is at the heart of a coast that streches from Leucate down to Cerbère via Canet, Port-Vendre and Collioure. The hinterland is rich in craft industry and cultural sites (Romanesque Chapels, wine routes, …).
Spain is nearby, so too are the mountain with many excursions and ballades for nature lovers.
